Former Two-Divison UFC champion Amanda Nunes threw her only loss in the last decade with a full shutout.
The best female hunter of all time and soon Hall of Famer Amanda Nunes has retired for the past two years and decides that it is time to come back as two ladies with whom she has history for her long held UFC Bantamweight title.
The current champion Julianna Peña will defend the title against Kayla Harrison in the Co-Main event of UFC 316 on June 7 in Newark, New Jersey. A former enemy of Nunes, Peña currently 1-1 with 'The Lioness', who withdrew from their planned trilogy fight on UFC 289 due to injury.
Nunes withdrew to that event to the disappointment of Peña, which fought the urge to not storm the Octagon after its eighth successful defending allification against Irene Aldana.
Nunes has won six rounds of seven against Peña, willing to go one more when she passes her former teammate, two -time Olympic gold medal winner in Judo Kayla Harrison this summer.

Amanda Nunes let Julianna Peña fall several times on UFC 277
Amanda Nunes lost her first fight against Peña on UFC 269 in one of, if not the biggest upset in the UFC history. The TKO defeat on the second round came months after a fight with COVID-19.

Nunes scored 3 knockdowns on Peña alone in the second round and let her go back to the feet every time.

Round 2 scored a 10-8 for Nunes, the featherweight champion continued to dominate Peña, but more on the floor in the later rounds.
Nunes have absolutely smothered Peña from the top position, landing land and pound strikes when she could, short elbows that opened a decent cut on the forehead of her rival.

In addition to an Armbar attempt by Peña, rounds 4 and 5 were one-way traffic for Nunes, who left 'the Venezuelan Vixen' battered and bloody with punishing shots.
Nunes almost closed the show in the last seconds of round 5, but let Peña finish the fight on her feet.
The Scor cards read 50-43, 50-44 and 50-45 with Amanda Nunes, who lived her title back by unanimous decision, the Brazilian again a two-division champion on top of the world.
