The goat of MMA for women can soon return to the UFC Octagon.
That's right, former two-part UFC champion Amanda Nunes seems to be more than happy to end her retirement for another Legacy fight.
At the age of 35, Nunes withdrew from the sport at the top of UFC 289 in June 2023 after an eighth successful title defense about Irene Aldana. The move was taken over by a lot of disapproval of rival Julianna Peña, who begged Nunes for a trilogy fight after she had withdrawn due to injury.
Others congratulated her on a career in which she brought every champion from 135 pounds to 145 pounds, nunes who also held two victories over the current pound-for-pound Queen Valentina Shevchenko and a KO about Cris Cyborg.
Almost two years after retirement, Nunes will watch as the current champion Peña and former teammate Kayla Harrison Vechten for her long-term Bantamweight title in the Co-Main event of UFC 316 on 7 June in Newark, New Jersey.
Although, it seems that 'The Lioness' has been on the sidelines for much longer …

“Absolutely,” Harrison said about fighting nunes after Peña.
“I think Amanda and I know that will happen.”
