MANCHESTER UNITED manager Ruben Amorim damaged a TV screen in the club's dressing room on Sunday during an angry undressing display by his players, according to reports.
The Athletic claims Amorim unleashed his emotions in a physical and verbal expression of his frustration after the Red Devils' 3-1 defeat to Brighton.
It is claimed that the TV showing the tactics ahead of kick-off was collateral damage during Amorim's angry outburst.
The report shows that players were shocked by the angry reaction, with Amorim usually opting for a calm approach in the immediate aftermath of a match.
Throughout his career, Amorim has always chosen to remain silent after the final whistle and analyze the match the next day.
The Portuguese manager, 39, was clearly still reeling in his post-match press conference when he claimed his side are the worst Man Utd team in history.
He said: “We are perhaps the worst team in the history of Manchester United.
“I know you want headlines, but I say that because we need to recognize that and change that. So there you go, your head.
“In 10 games in the Premier League we have won two, I know that. Imagine this for a Manchester United fan, imagine this for me.”
“You get a new coach who loses more than the previous coach. Imagine that. We must survive this moment. I know that.”
United's home record this season is the club's worst in the league in 131 years.
They have not lost six games in twelve opening matches at Old Trafford since the 1893-94 season, when they lost seven.
After 22 games, Amorim's team is in thirteenth place and is closer to the relegation zone (10 points) than the top four (12).
Amorim also focused on his side's inability to show tactical discipline in the closing stages of matches during his post-match reaction.
He fumed: “I knew it was going to be difficult to come up with a completely new idea at this point, but when you lose games and don't win three games in a row, it becomes really difficult.
“So that's why I say we will suffer, because I will continue to do the same thing.
“Helping my players means giving them the tools to play this way, but without training it is very difficult. You can feel it at the end of the match, everyone changed positions and I won't see that again. We can lose, but we must maintain our position.
“I just want to help my players. If I want to show something to the media or to the fans, I put two attackers down. But I haven't put two forwards because if I do, it will be more difficult for them to understand the way we play.
“I'm just here to try to help my players, but we have to understand that we're breaking all the bad records. It is something we are proud to have to change.”
