Head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, believes that Kobbie Mainoo's long -term Mainoo can be in the club as a no. 10 after he was impressed – and scored – in their 2-0 win over FCSB in the Europa League last night.
United finished third in the group stage and sealed their place in the last 16 of the competition, which avoided a two-legged play-off draw in the trial, after Diogo Dalot and Mainoo had scored against the Romanian champions.
Mainoo, 19, started the game in an advanced role and stood out, after he had put Low for Dalot to score and added the second goal of United itself eight minutes later.
The Amorim system requires that the two narrow no 10s support the only striker and mainoo with Rasmus Hojlund with a good effect in Bucharest.
This has called for the possibility that Amorim will now look to develop him into an attack -oriented midfielder, especially in view of the United Boss believes that he 'struggled' with his defensive tasks when he went back further.
Amorim said the successful Tweak to spend more time with his players on the training pitch, said: 'To have time to train, to create connections between everyone, that is really, really important to us.
'Even the staff, everyone there in training, who know each other in the right environment, I think it's really important.

'I can better understand my players – and put together the Kobbie position today.
'We need time to understand the players. He struggled a lot defensive as a midfielder. Now more like a no. 10, you can feel that he was so free, played the ball near the box, and it is really good near the box, making the small connections.
“I need time and we need time to work with the players to understand what the best position is for them.”
Mainoo in particular created three opportunities and took nine touches in the penalty area of FCSB – more than in a Premier League match so far this season.
“In the second half you see that the opponent gets tired, slower when they covered the space,” Amorim added.
'We had more room with the players with Kobbie between the lines. One against one of Amad [Diallo]and the pace of [Alejandro] Garnacho, has helped a lot. We managed to score two, we should score more. '
Earlier this month, Amorim insisted that he wanted to keep Mainoo in the club, but admitted that the club might be forced to load their own talents.
United is open to allowing Marcus Rashford to leave in the winter transfer window, while they would also entertain suitable bids for Mainoo and Garnacho.
Mainoo was previously considered inviolable, but his representatives are supposed to have reached the impasse with United through a new contract.
