Ruben Amorim was exuberant in his praise of new signing Matheus Cunha after the strong performance of the Brazilian in the victory of Manchester United in West Ham.
Cunha, 26, was a lively presence when the Red Devils won a 2-1 victory at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
Although he did not come to the score sheet – where Captain Bruno Fernandes both scored united goals – Cunha made an impression on Amorim with his general contribution.
Jarrod Bowen withdrew one for the hammers, but United was able to hold the victory in sizzling circumstances.
Amorim also praised Rasmus Hojlund, together with midfielders Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte after an Energetoc Display by his side.
Speaking in his press conference after the game, when he was asked who in particular was shining, he said: “All the boys. I don't want to talk specifically.
Rasmus [Hojlund] Did it do well. I really loved Rasmus's game, the runs and the way he fought during the game, one against one, when we kicked the ball. He joined the teammates, so he did a great job.
'Matheus Cunha is that kind of player who can help us, he can help us a lot because he can run with the ball and that is something that the game can change. We missed that last year.
'In the first half, Kobbie [Mainoo] and Manu [Ugarte] were really good. I'm not going to talk about the second team because it is really difficult for 11 [10] Players to go to the field, you know, many young children.
'But I really like the team. Of course you have to look at the game and you have to improve things. '
Amorim also admitted that colleague New Signing Mbeumo will not perform in the second game of United's Us Tour when they take on Bournemouth in Soldier Field in the early hours on Thursday morning.
However, the United Boss is hopeful that the Cameroon International could play a role in the last game against Everton in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta next Sunday.
“He is not going to play the next play,” said Amorim, who brought his players through a training session after the game in New Jersey before they immediately returned to Chicago from Westchester.
'We hope to have Bryan in the last game. He trains now, so we'll see. '
United still has a friendlier – against Fiorentina in Old Trafford on August 9 – before they start the season of Arsenal eight days later.
