Amorim receives timely Man Utd injury boost as Mason Mount returns to training

Mason Mount has made his last return to the training of Manchester United in a boost for Ruben Amorim.

The Premier League campaign from United is perhaps a depreciation, but they are still in Europa League set and organize Real Sociedad in the second stage of their round of 16 draw on Old Trafford on Thursday evening.

And Mount was almost involved after three months with a hamstring injury in the Derby Way Road to Manchester City in mid -December.

Mount, 26, spent more time in the treatment room than on the field since he had moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea in the summer of 2023. He made 32 performances in all competitions for 19 months and scored only one goal.

“Mason Mount … I have to tell you that I love that child,” Amorim said for his first game that was in charge. 'You can look in his eyes that he wants this so badly. And this is the most important thing for me.

“I know he was suffering, he was not on the field, but now he tries to stay fit and we hope he can stay fit, to show all the talent that he has shown in Chelsea, for example.”

Mount played both a NO10 and outside for Thomas Tuchel's Champions League-winning Chelsea. He was then also an important player for England – only for his body to abandon him since he moved to the north.

He played in this system [before]So it's perfect for him, “Amorim said. “I have two positions for Mason Mount, so he should be very happy.”

The last injury of Mount came when he wins his leg in the derby in the city mid -December. At that time, Amorim said it was just an accident instead of a problem with the physical conditioning of the player.

“It's bad luck, nothing with the problem of Mason Mount's body,” Amorim said at the time. “It was a bad movement and he is going to recover because we need him.”
