Kobbie Mainoo can be on its way from Manchester United before the transfer Deadline, where the midfielder got out of grace under manager Ruben Amorim
Ruben Amorim could face a long-term Manchester United tradition, famous by Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed if he allows Kobbie Mainoo to leave. The extraordinary midfielder could be moved soon, possibly before the transfer deadline of Monday.
A sale of £ 45 million has been disputed, which would certainly stimulate the PSR balance sheets. When he came through the United Academy, it would be registered as pure profit. However, it would also end prematurely what was once a promising career at the club.
Mainoo, then only a teenager, made his mark in the 2023/24 season under Erik ten Hag and played a key role in the United FA Cup triumph. His versions caught the attention of Gareth Southgate, who included him in his Euro 2024 team, where Mainoo could be seen in every knockout game when England reached the final.
Sir Alex praised Mainoo for the 2024/25 season and encouraged him to continue his upward process. The legendary United manager emphasized the importance of cherishing young talent about the impact of Mainoo and Alejandro Garnaacho. In conversation with Tiktoker Jamal Niaz he said: “It's the basis, right?
“It is the heart and soul of what Manchester United is since the days of Sir Matt Busby, who started to rely on the entire process playing young players.
“They are young. What they are showing at the moment, the calmness and the confidence to play in the first team and not be discouraged by it.
'In a sense it shows you the kind of courage they have. It is a distinction in people, some have the will to be that [fearless at a young age]. “
However, the progress of Mainoo has hit the buffers under Amorim, while discussions about a new contract have stalled. Last season he underwent injury problems and had difficulty holding a regular place in the team if he was suitable.
Precious Little seems to have changed this season, with Mainoo left on the couch for both of the Premier League matches of United so far.
He got a start in the Carabao Cup disaster on Wednesday in Grimsby Town. Although he was not one of United's poorest artists, he did little to strengthen his business for regular football in the first team.
Amorim has said the right things with regard to the capacity of the young person, but in the midst of the constant struggles of United, there is no player guaranteed, in particular someone who does not seem to appear in the manager's immediate plans.
A maximum of 10 clubs are interested in Mainoo, with the Daily Mail that connects Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Napoli with potential movements. Newcastle United is also linked to the 20-year-old. Nevertheless, every departure – whether or not there are in line – would frustrate many united supporters, and presumably Ferguson.
