Amorim’s first three months marked by attacking drop-off

Tottenham-Gastheer Manchester United on Super Sunday with both teams with a serious danger to reach their lowest Premier League finish.

Only two points separate the wrestling clubs, in which Spurs have lost eight of their last 11 league trips and Manchester United dropped in seven of their last 11.

The recent struggles of Ange Postecoglou are well documented, but the difficult start of Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford has been demonstrably under the radar compared.

Three months in and after 20 games that are in charge requires its record closer inspection.

Since he joined Sporting in November, only five teams have won Premier League points and they are 10 points further on drift from the top four.

Three of their nine wins in regulation time under Amorim have entered the Europa League and six have been through a single goal. The last manager who had a lower profit percentage after 20 games that were in charge of Old Trafford was Sir Alex Ferguson.

Amorim's total winning stratio is 20 percent lower than among his predecessor, Erik ten Hag – it falls even further when comparing their Premier League records; Amorim currently stands at 30.8 percent compared to the 51.8 percent of the Dutchman.

Amorim's attacking problems

Only the current bottom three and Everton have scored fewer Premier League goals than Manchester United since the November international break, while only seven teams have admitted more goals. When analyzing their in-game statistics, there is a remarkable drop-off in their attack since he mentioned Amorim, albeit with somewhat improved defensive figures than they had under ten Hag.

Since Chelsea won the Premier League title in 2016-17, only two teams have finished in the Champions League places that have played more than half of their league matches with a rear three, with both Chelsea and Tottenham this in 2021-22 did.

This formation rarely bears fruit in an attacking sense, as the recent attacking ranks of Manchester United indicate.

The hope to qualify this season through the competition through the competition is almost over for both teams.

Only five points currently separate the 11th placed Brentford and Everton in the 16th. Tottenham did well this season against teams currently in this Mini League, but Manchester United has collected the least points of one of the six teams in question.

Of their remaining 14 league matches, the Red Devils won only four and lost six of the inverted luminaires. Similar results they would break countless unwanted records for the club in the Premier League era.

With the Europa League -Knock outputs and a very open FA Cup to play, the competition can take a rear seat. From a realistic point of view, they will not be attracted to a relegation struggle, and the European places would be imaginative for even the most positive united fans.

If they want to get their form of competition on track, there are currently few better launching places than Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the hosts are the longest current Windless Home Run in the division.

Amorim run heavily during the exit of Manchester United's League Cup earlier this season in Noord -Londen, in what only his eighth game was in charge. This is their only game in the space of 15 days, must ensure that he selects the strongest possible XI.

So far it is a season to forget for both clubs. With the gloomy form of Tottenham recently in the spotlight, a fifth victory in six games in all competitions for Amorim's team could change the tide as United against two cup matches, as well as avoiding a bottom half finish for the first time since 1989 – 90.
