Man City suffer first 6-game winless streak in 8 years before Liverpool clash
Man City's winless streak continues ahead of a crucial clash with Liverpool
On Tuesday evening, City were on their way to a routine UEFA Champions League win against Dutch side Feyenoord at the Etihad Stadium after an Erling Haaland brace and a goal from Ilkay Gundogan made it 3-0 to the home side.
However, City fell apart completely in the last fifteen minutes when goals from Anis Hadj Moussa, Santiago Gimenez and David Hancko made it 3-3.
The draw against Feyenoord puts City in fifteenth place, with only eight points from five games. And their winless streak has reached 6 games.
This weekend City travel to Anfield in the Premier League to take on title rivals Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester City conceded two or more goals in six consecutive games in all competitions for the first time since May 1963 – during a season that saw them relegated from the top flight.
Furthermore, Manchester City is the first team in the history of the UEFA Champions League to have a three-goal lead in the 75th minute and then fail to win. Incredible.
