Ancelotti pleased to come through ‘fun’ semi-final

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti was only concerned with the end result when they progressed to the Copa del Rey final after a 5-4 aggregated victory over Real Sociedad.

After won the first stage 1-0, Real Madrid was made to do things in the hard way after a 4-4 draw after extra time in the Bernabeu on Tuesday.

But Ancelotti did not want to concentrate on the negatives in what an entertaining meeting was.

“We achieved our goal today that was to reach the final and there is not much time to think about it,” he told a press conference.

“It was an entertaining game with some mistakes and many good things. It was fun and we are in the final.

“I never looked like something can happen in the Bernabeu. If we have to come from behind, we never give up. We never give up, especially at home, with the fans by our side.”

Defender David Alaba was a shame to decline two balls in his own goal, but Ancelotti was of the opinion that it was more bad luck than something else.

However, he acknowledged that the concession of four goals was not ideal.

“It's not good to admit four goals in a game,” said Ancelotti.

“At the moment we are a team that has a lot of effectiveness, but little balance.

“However, we cannot ignore what we did in the attack. Four goals score against Real [Sociedad] Is not that simple. I think we are doing pretty well. “

Real Madrid will be confronted with Barcelona or Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, after he has won the competition only once in the last decade.
