On this day in 1997 Anderson Silva made his official MMA debut in Brazil when he scored two Finishes on the same night.

Anderson Silva is generally considered one of the greatest hunters of all time because of the legacy he left in MMA.

Last Saturday, the last hunter from the legendary era of 2011, Jon Jones announced his retirement of the sport and Silva paid tribute to 'Bones' with a genuine message.

Despite both dominated in the UFC around the same time, 'The Spider' made his MMA debut years before Jones and his career started with two huge finishes in the same night.

Anderson Silva scored two finishes in one night to start the legendary career

'The Spider' started his MMA career in 1997 and debuted in Brazil on BFC 1 against Raimundo Pinheiro. Although he was known for his sensational striking, Silva scored a first round behind naked choke victory.

Later on the same night, Silva Fabricio took Camoes, and scored another first round, this time with a TKO because of strikes.

It was three years later when the Brazilian participated again and he got his first loss of career against Luis Azeredo.

Silva then went on a nine Vechtwin streak and took several victories in pride, including a devastating victory over Carlos Newton.

And after a short period of fighting in the UK, Silva eventually debuted in the UFC in 2006 when he scored a devastating knockout about Chris Leben.

Only four months later, Silva was booked to fight Rich Franklin for the middleweight title and successfully won the fight with another huge KO.

From that moment on, 'The Spider' put together one of the most legendary UFC career and defended his title 10 times.

Towards the end of the UFC career of Silva, he unfortunately somewhat affected his estate with seven losses of his last nine fights.

After losing Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier, Silva was linked to Uriah Hall in what his last fight was under the UFC banner.
