Andoni Iraola set for face-to-face contract talks with Bournemouth hierachy amid interest from Tottenham and Real Madrid

Bournemouth has to open conversations with manager Andoni Iraola about a new contract prior to interest from Tottenham.

Owner Bill Foley will attend their fixture in Crystal Palace on Saturday before they officially open the new training field of the club.

He will then take the opportunity to talk to Iraola about his future, whereby the club wants to reward the Spaniard for the progress that has been made this season.

Iraola, 42, was appointed in June 2023 for a two -year deal and signed an extension of a year in May. He was previously praised by Leeds United.

This season he has gone the opportunities by bringing the relatively small team from Bournemouth to the eve of the European qualification with some striking versions en route.

That has warned the will of Tottenham, who are separating this summer with Ange Postecoglou, and Real Madrid.

Postecoglou has come under considerable pressure, since Spurs currently sits 15th after losing 17 of their 32 Premier League competitions and Iraola has emerged as a leading candidate for the role.

Bournemouth, however, hopes to convince Iraola to stay on the south coast.

He is expected to get resources to build with large money offers expected for Liverpool objectives Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerzez Plus Wing player Antoine Semenyo who is interested in Arsenal and Manchester United.

Iraola made his name in management with Cypriot Side Aek Larnaca together with Mirandes and Rayo Vallecano in his home country.

At Rayo, the 42-year-old promoted them to Laliga before she ended up to a 12th place in 2022-23.

That summer he joined the cherries and their position in 12th place in 2023-24 was reached thanks to a club record Premier League points of 48, something they have already matched this season.
