Ange Postecoglou says that there is “no doubt” that there is a “leak” in Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spurs boss spread after reports prior to the Europa League Quarter-Final First-stage on Thursday against Frankfurt claimed that Wilson Odobert had sustained a hamstring injury. The attacker was an unused sub for the game.
“There is no doubt that we have a leak in the club,” Postecoglou told reporters. “I don't know why. It doesn't help us. We have limited it. I have an honest idea where it comes from.
“It certainly does not help us on game days. They are sometimes half truths and sometimes more.
“You would like to think that everyone in our camp works with us instead of against us.”
Instead, Postecoglou confirmed that the 20-year-old was in order and he had trained for the return of Spurs' Premier League.
“He is ok. With all the players who returned from long -term injury, we got a different approach,” Postecoglou revealed. “All these guys who have come back. Wilson has trained today and we will see how he is.”
There was also good news with regard to the condition of Dejan Kulusevski, who remains excluded for the trip to Molineux – but could return to the team for Thursday's return bone in Germany.
“Kulusevski today trained with the players who did not play last night,” said Postecoglou. “He looked really good. He is not available this weekend and he will not start on Thursday because he will be so long, but he looks good.”
Postecoglou again discussed criticism aimed at his captain Heung-Min Son, who was the subject of more negativity after his performance in Thursday's draw. He was picked up 10 minutes of the time, with Mathys count replacing him.
“He is a huge influence for us on and next to the field,” said Postecoglou. “He works hard for the team.
“Last night he played his role in creating many opportunities. Our front three were really disciplined. He is extremely important for the club and what we do at the club.”
