Tottenham has confirmed the signing of defender Kevin Danso van Lens.
The 26-year-old came on loan until the end of the season, whereby the North London club has permanent relocation in the summer.
Wolves had been in conversation to sign Danso for the most of the January transfer star and arranged a medical one for the Austria International to take place on Sunday morning.
However, Wolves were told after Saturday's 2-0 win over Aston Villa that Danso had chosen to move to Spurs, after they started late conversations with the player.
Spurs had been looking for a new defender in this transfer window after Radu Dragusin had sustained an injury in the victory of the Europa League over Elfsborg. Cristian Romero is also injured, while Micky Van de Ven has just returned from the treatment table.
The side of Ange Postecoglou had held advanced conversations with AC Milan about the signing of Fikayo Tomori, but the International of England chose to stay with the Serie A Club.
That blow came for Spurs after Bayern Munich Forward Mathys Tel had also rejected a move to the club after Daniel Levy helped to agree with a £ 50 million for the attacker.
Wolves, who has already signed defender Emmanuel Aggbadou in the transfer window, are now looking for a new center of center – with the January transfant star on Monday evening at 11 p.m.
Ange: Spurs are still an attractive option for players
Tottenham remains an attractive proposition for new players prior to the Transfer Deadline of Monday, according to Undervire Manager Postecoglou.
Spurs still had to sign an outfield player who entered the last days of the transfer window – but have sealed a late move for Defender Danso.
“It depends on what the players are looking for,” Postecoglou said about possible new signing sessions.
“You can look at it in two ways, ok, the competition form is not great, but there are some quite big opportunities to have success here in the last three or four months.
“It is still a big club, it is still a club that can challenge honor and it is as if the player sees the potential that we see now, or certainly that I see. If it is too much of a difficult sale, Is it probably not the right one for us.
'You need a little discipline. All I don't want to do is take someone who just becomes a different body.
“I don't think this sole goal should know what we have come. That, there is definitely a need for us and is a need. That is why we are looking for a player or two to help us with what stands to us Waiting, but they must be the right types and match what we do.
“I think it's tricky. There are many players available, but are they the right one? That is the question for us.”
