Antony completes Real Betis loan move from Man Utd

Real Betis has drawn Manchester United Wijtel player Antony on loan for the rest of the season, confirmed the LaLiga Club on Saturday.

Antony, who came to the Red Devils of Ajax in 2022 in a reported £ 85.5 million deal, has difficulty realizing his substantial price tag and made a promising start of life at United.

The Brazilian started his Old Trafford career with three goals in three games and became the first United player to score in their first three consecutive Premier League meetings.

However, he would not succeed in continuing that form and managing only 12 goals and five assists during his 96 performances in all competitions.

Antony leaves the Red Devils even more yellow cards (14) than goals, but hopes to impress in Laliga under the former city boss, Manuel Pellegrini.

The arrival of Antony is the first Betis company during the January transfer window, while his departure from Old Trafford could be the first of many this month.

Alejandro Garnacho has been associated with a move to Chelsea and Napoli, while Marcus Rashford also seems to continue after expressing his desire for a new challenge.
