Antony scores AGAIN for Betis to continue red-hot start to his Spain loan spell

Antony continued his great start to life in a real betis shirt by doing the Spanish side in their Europa Conference League similar to Ghent on Thursday evening.

The Brazilian scored with a good attempt to lead his new team early in the second half of the meeting.

After collecting the ball just outside the 18-year-box on the right side of the field, the 24-year-old two defenders avoided and curled a left shot in the left-hand one.

It means that the winger has now registered two goals and an assist in his first three performances for Los Verdiblancos.

Responding to the goal on X, formerly Twitter, Manchester United fans made jokes that he had rarely produced this form during his time at Old Trafford.

A user joked: 'You can't help laughing. This is Antony. Are we the problem? '

A second added: 'Antony scored again tonight. See what can happen when a player gets away from our reactive poisonous fan base '.

However, a third thought differently and stated: 'Antony is suddenly in shape at his new club no coincidence.

'Some players do not have the mentality to perform at United and he is one of them. He had the chance to be good in Man Utd and he was not, he found his level. '

Another wrote: “Antony Die Prime Ronaldinho has been on loan since he came to Real Betis of Man United.”

After Antony's early strike, Betis was able to cruise the victory thanks to goals from Cedric Bakambu and Sergi Altimira.

That saw them hit as a comfortable 3-0 winners, a score that would have to give them a safe passage in the round of the competition of 16.

The second stage of the draw will take place next Thursday in the Benito Villamarin.

Betis are the next in action in LaLiga on Saturday, when they organize Real Sociedad.

Antony's last goal comes after the CEO of Betis had shown interest to make his transfer permanent in the summer.

Speaking with Cadena Ser's Radio Sevilla, Betis CEO Ramon Alarcon said that Antony could be part of his team's team after the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

“I think so,” he said when he was asked about the possibility that the transfer was made permanent in the summer.

Alarcon added: 'The United CEO recently called me. We have sent them all the movements and details of the player all week, so that they can see that we take care of their property.

'There is a very good chemistry with Manchester [United] And with the player. It is a possibility that he will continue next season, why not? '

Antony's loan agreement contains no clause with an obligation to buy, which means that betis must negotiate with united transfer costs if they want Antony permanently.

Although United said goodbye to a big sum to sign him, a permanent move could fit at the club while they want to earn back part of their first expenses.
