Antony spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis and the Brazilian wing player is expected to permanently leave Manchester United this summer
Antony has sent a message to Manchester United -boss Ruben Amorim after sharing clips of himself training on social media. Antony is one of the five players who report report too late for the preseason while looking for movements away from Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia are the other four players, although new reports have claimed that Garnacho has now received permission to participate in the rest of the team in Carrington.
However, Antony is still training United after having spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis. The wing player, who came to the Red Devils for about £ 82 million from Ajax in 2022, has not had many consequences at Old Trafford.
Antony only managed 12 goals and five assists in 96 performances in all competitions for United, but found a form at Betis where he scored nine goals and produced five assists in just 26 games.
And the 25-year-old seems to work hard on training while waiting for news about his future, who shared images of himself, training alongside colleague Brazilian football players such as Walce and Igor Belmiro.
According to a new report from the Spanish outlet sport, Antony is 'Burning With Desire' to become a permanent member of Betis and the club is convinced that they can reach an agreement with the Red Devils.
The report adds that United wants around £ 40 million and Betis is prepared to pay in installments, with a first £ 20m in advance paid this summer. When he interviewed the future of Antony earlier this month, Betis President Angel Haro told Cope Sevilla that the move depends on “on Manchester United, Antony and Betis who are willing to pay the transfer costs”.
Haro said: “We talk to the player because coming to Betis reduces a considerable salary, because we have to keep our financial discipline and we don't want to break it.
“He is a fantastic player; he has given us a lot in the last six months, but we have to get everything right; we can't go crazy. We are working on that path because it is not easy. We are very imaginative when it comes to approaching this kind of transaction, but it is complex.
“It is about the player who loves Betis, but he must also consider his own interests. We will have to see if he is coming; he is no longer here. We work on that path; it will not be easy. Manchester [United] paid a considerable amount and he has left his contract for two years. “
