Manchester United winger Antony pulled off a likely miss of the season in his side's Premier League match against Southampton at Old Trafford.
With the Red Devils trailing 1-0 after Manuel Ugarte's own goal in the first half, United broke forward and Alejandro Garnacho smashed the ball over the goal.
Antony arrived at the back post with the goal at his mercy, but the ball hit his shin and bounced into the hands of Aaron Ramsdale.
The £82m striker lay on the ground in the six-yard box looking up at the sky after missing a golden opportunity to equalize for his team.
Meanwhile, TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher was in disbelief at what he had just seen.
“I can't believe he missed it,” Fletcher exclaimed as Ramsdale gratefully hugged the ball to his chest.
Co-commentator Ally McCoist was equally perplexed, wondering why Antony even went to the ground instead of staying on his feet to tap the ball home.
“Why is he grounding, Fletch?” McCoist asked. 'The ball is perfect. Just hit the ball into the net.
'That's absolutely incredible. That's a babysitter, buddy, that's what it is. Shocking finish, but a good move.'
Antony was brought on at half-time as a substitute for Kobbie Mainoo after a difficult first half for the hosts.
Andre Onana was forced to make a series of sharp saves but could not keep out a Southampton corner that found its way into the net via Ugarte.
Antony's introduction should spark United into life, but Ruben Amorim could only watch in horror as the Brazilian squandered one of the easiest chances he will have all season.
