Arman Tsarukyan may have hurt himself by missing the vacant UFC light weight on UFC 317.
After Islam Makhachev recently left his UFC light weight title, it was announced that Ilia Topuria would compete against Charles Oliveira for the belt in the UFC 317 Main Event.
Prior to their Blockbuster fight, it was announced that long-time 155 pounds will weigh Arman Tsarukyan as the backup for the title fight.
Topuria, however, hope that he may have demanded the next title shot that he will not fight against Tsarukyan if he wins on UFC 317 and claims that the Armens still needs a victory before he gets a title shot.

Arman Tsarukyan is open to fighting UFC star while waiting for title shot
Topuria is also linked to a potential fight against Paddy Pimblett, while the two continue their old feud.
Although Pimblett achieved an impressive victory over Michael Chandler earlier this year, 'El Matador' has admitted that he will not get an immediate title shot either.
Tsarukyan was only one day away from fighting for the title earlier this year on UFC 311, but he pulled himself out of the fight a day before, leaving Dana White Fuming behind.
And with that, prior to consideration as the backup for Saturday's main event, Arman Tsarukyan has revealed that he would be open to a number one contender fighting against 'The Baddy'.
Pimblett and Tsarukyan have been online in recent months and it is apparently a fight that makes sense for both light weights.
“Paddy looked very good in his last fight and now we can say that he can beat top 10 hunters, but I want to fight as soon as possible, so maybe he wants to fight at the end of this year, but I want to fight this summer and then the end of the year,” Tsarukyan told Red Corner Mma.
“Yes, I would take (a fight against Paddy in the summer), I would take that because he has a big name … it's logical,” Tsarukyan continued.
The conversations about MakHacheven's potential relocation remain back to lightweight
Despite the current uncertainty about who will then fight for the lightweight title, Islam Makhakev continues to claim that he will go back to lightweight after his upcoming title fight against Jack della Maddalena.
Colleague light weight Competer Justin Gaethje recently claimed that he will retire if he does not get the next lightweight title shot, which adds some confusion to the division.
