The number one lightweight competition was one of a number of names on the receiving side of the promo of Paddy Pimblett after he stopped Michael Chandler in the Co-Main event of the Night. He was almost a side issue, but seemed to be the one with whom Pimblett has the most personal issue.
Tsarukyan has not fought anymore since he was forced out of the UFC 311 in the eleventh hour due to a back injury. He has remained training and his issue explained, but was also told by Dana White that he does not immediately go back to a title shot against Islam Makhachev.

Last night last night, Arman Tsarukyan finally went to social media to answer fan questions about when he will fight next time. It has now been more than a year since his victory over Charles Oliveira at UFC 300 who brought him to the top of the division.
He now needs an outing to show the UFC that he will be able to appear after he has withdrawn from his world title in January. And he told fans in an Instagram message: “Many have asked when the fight is.
“I am calm – training, focused and wait for my moment. Exercising are not always honest, but I believe that if you do the work, do not give up and will continue to be faithful to yourself. The key is to be ready when time comes.”

A man striking in his absence of Tsarukyan's message is Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett. The Scouse -Superster mentioned the number one competition as one of the four names he then wants to fight after his impressive victory over Chandler on Saturday.
“F – Arman,” he told Joe Rogan after he initially mentioned him as a potential opponent for his last fight before he challenged the belt, and noted that he respects Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje that he also called. “He is a small helmet, f – that sausage.”
The rivalry of Pimblett and Tsarukyan seems to be the most heated of the names mentioned, with the couple going back and forth during the Vechtweek on social media.
