Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is in line with a switch to join the Spanish giant Real Madrid at the end of his contract and Arne Slot has now issued some instructions to his new employers
Arne Slot has given his opinion about the best position of Trent Alexander-Arnold while preparing for a move to Real Madrid. The defender seems to go to the Spanish side this summer at the end of his Reds contract.
Reports have suggested that Alexander-Arnold is in advanced conversations with Real with regard to a Bosman relocation to the Santiago Bernabeu. He reportedly agreed a five -year -old deal with the Spanish side, while he is seen as a replacement for club icon Dani Carvajal.
And although he will be a cash cracker, there are some questions about his position. Alexander-Arnold played in both midfield and defense for Liverpool and England during his time on Merseyside.
And Last has now given his opinion, advice that Carlo Ancelotti will certainly listen if he tries to fit the defender in his side. Earlier this season, the Dutch head coach said: “I think a position for players is always related to the team.
“It is also my goal to get the best out of the player, but the first goal is to get the best out of the team. It helps if you get the best out of a player. Trent is known for a right full-back, for his whole life I think, and when he was a young person, he played in midfield.
“In the modern game you see many full-backs going into midfield, which is what he did occasionally last season, and I saw him playing in the midfield euros.
“So I think he is able to play both positions really well, and then it is up to me where I think he can help the team the most.”

In the meantime, Alexander-Arnold has also thrown his weight behind the debate while he is preparing to become a Real Madrid player. Last year the husband of England said he saw his best position in defense.
He said: “I would say that I still see myself as a immediately, I see myself as someone who can probably play in both positions, if necessary. My focus, until I am told by the Gaffer otherwise [ Jurgen Klopp ] Is that I am still a right back. I come in and I play in when we have the ball, but when you write the team magazine, I am a right back. “
