Arne Slot has been hit by the transformation of one Liverpool player this season.

He said: 'If Federico Chiesa is more available, he already has more opportunities to influence our results or his playing time. But then it's about staying so fit when he is right now.
'I now see a completely different Federico than from large parts of last season, which is completely normal because he has missed large parts of the preseason and then comes to a Premier League rhythm in terms of the amount of competitions and intensity.
'He is now in a much better place and as we can see, when we needed a goal and looked at the couch, I had him and Rio-a 16-year-old as attacking options.
“So for me, although Rio was doing really well in the preseason, it was a fairly normal choice to bring in Chiesa and he delivered.”
Chiesa's decisive attack in the 4-2 victory over Bournemouth on the opening day was his best moment so far in a Liverpool shirt.
His well -taken volleyed completed the Reds in the victory, with Mo Salah added another to make a game on a player more competitive than the score.
Van Chiesa was expected on a large scale that he would leave Liverpool in the summer and there was a lot of interest from Italian parties.
But given the departure of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, the 27-year-old has got up by the pecking order.
It is still to consider whether Liverpool will result in further attacking reinforcements with just over a week left of the transfer window.
It seems that the long -term striving for Alexander Isak will probably end in disappointment if the Reds do not return with an improved offer, depending on Newcastle's ability to sign themselves.
