First half of the goals of Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard were not enough to beat Crystal Palace, because the visitors came twice from behind to claim a point at Emirates Stadium.
Match report
In the first three minutes, Kiwior brought us ahead with an excellent header, only for Palace to have an ebereechi volley from a corner.
Leandro Trossard kept his calmness in the area to restore our lead before the break, but Jean-Philippe Mateta benefited on a lost pass on the back to be resembled late.
The result extended our unbeaten run in the competition to eight games, but five of them have been precious draws.
Both teams came into play with a huge semi -final to look forward to. Our next game is of course the first stage of our Champions League collision with Paris Saint-Germain, while Palace has a date this Saturday at Wembley against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
But for tonight all the spirits were on the Premier League and it took less than three minutes to open the score.
Martin Odegaard waved in a free kick from wide flank, and Kiwior Rose Majeste to go along Dean Henderson vigorously. It was a masterful header, from the nearby penalty spot, by a man bang in shape.
The visitors came back. Daichi Kamada had bent a shot just in the area, and from the resulting corner the former shooter Eddie Nketiah David Raya defeated in the air, just to go the target.
Nketiah then ran on a long ball over the top and his low ball over the face of the goal was almost intercepted by Kiwior.
On the other hand, a nice exchange between Raheem Sterling and Leandro Trossard resulted in a chance for rice when the ball appeared nicely for him to beat from the edge of the area, but his shot just whistled wide.
Palace gave as good as they received, and grown thanks to a number of wonderful technology from Ebereechi Eze. The corner of Adam Wharton found his teammate of England outside the area and his first volley bounced in the net by post.
Moments later, Eze created a good chance for Nketiah in the box. The striker turned and shot in the six-year box, but Kiwior put out his leg to make a vital block.
We saw a lot of the ball, but in terms of chances of goal, the visitors had enjoyed its betterity in the first half. But we soon recovered that balance when Trossard brought us back.
Jurrien Timber's only in the Belgian had a lot of pace, but Trossard immediately killed it. He remained calm in possession, turned his marker and then shot back over the keeper in the bottom corner.
The ex -Brighton -Man – who scored twice in Ipswich at the weekend – certainly enjoyed his parties for the palace fans.
Early in the second half, an Odegaard caused free kick in the area of destruction and the shot of William Saliba was blocked when Palace claps to safety.
Palace remained dangerous at the front. Justin Devenny forced Raya to Backpedal and pushed a misstep head over the bar, and from the corner Raya saved well from a Marc Guehi header at the Nearby Paal.
Another palace corner caused more confusion when the header of Daniel Munoz somehow avoided everyone in a busy six-year box.
Gabriel Martinelli had the ball in the net in front of us, just because it was excluded because the ball had just crossed the name rule before Timber hooked his cross on the danger area. VAR had several views of the incident before confirming the decision on the field.
A nice Odegaardwending in midfield led to an attack on the left, where Martinelli crossed for replacement Bukayo Saka in the box. His shot was breaked away by a flying Henderson Save.
The visitors' own replacement, Mateta, brought the score again in the last 10 minutes.
Salibas only sold Odegaard Short outside of his own area. Mateta was there to shoot, take the ball and lift an inch perfect shot just below the bar.
While the game entered for eight minutes of injury time, Martinelli had a great opportunity to take our lead again. Quick thinking of Kieran Tierney released the Brazilian with a throw, he ran into the area, but screws his shot in the side net with Saka lurking in the middle.
