Alessia Russo scored twice when Arsenal produced an inspired change to numb Real Madrid and book their place in the semi -final of the Women's Champions League.
The side of the SLEERS SLESS followed 2-0 from the first stage, but three goals in the space of 13 second half minutes sealed a dramatic 3-2 aggregated victory in the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners checked large periods of the first half. However, Madrid had the best chance, in which Daphne made Domselaar a smart salvation to deny Filippa Angeldahl in the 42nd minute.
It turned out to be crucial when Arsenal struck within a minute after the restart, with Russo Porse Home Chloe Kelly's inviting cross.
Kelly was again involved when the hosts brought the draw three minutes later, because another Pinpoint delivery was sustained by Mariona Caldentey.
And the turning point was completed just before the hour. The free kick of Katie McCabe was kinked by Steph Catley about the goal and Russo was present to fire home.
The attacker of England was twice refused her hat trick after VAR reviews, while Van Domselaar made an important rescue to thwart Linda Caicedo in a stopping time and to protect the passage from her side to the last four.
