Arsenal has shifted their focus to Ebereechi Eze after he finally completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, where the Gunners hope to get a deal for around £ 60 million
Oliver Glasner has argued the Crystal Palace Board to not sell any of their star players such as Ebereechi Eze, warning that it could derail their season. Eze, 27, is sought by Arsenal, who has made him their priority when approaching the last month of the summer transfer window.
Marc Guehi is also associated with a move to Liverpool, which are considered the front runners after the captain of the palace had been introduced for the last 12 months of his contract. Liverpool also loves another Eagles player.
Adam Wharton is the target for the following summer, although Tottenham would be willing to sign the midfielder this year. Eze is now tied up to 2027, but has a release clause of £ 68 million.
Arsenal, who has spent £ 194 million so far, hopes for less than that a deal to be closed, reportedly about £ 60 million but one incentives for Palace. Mirror Football understands that the Gunners opened conversations for the English international by the end of June.
Now that they have completed the signing of £ 63.7 million of top goal Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal is aimed at Eze. But Glasner has told Palace that they would jeopardize themselves to repeat their 'false start' of the last term if they sell their most important players.
During their pre-season Tour spoke with the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, the Eagles boss complained the lack of activities of Palace in the market, after he had only spent £ 3 million on a backup keeper and a left-wing back. That is despite the fact that they qualify for Europe thanks to winning the FA Cup in combination with the interest in Guehi, Wharton and Eze.
“Although all players are still here, we have not taken the best out of the transfer window so far,” admitted an irritated Glasner. “I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year.
Should Crystal Palace accept the Ebereechi EzeChi EzeChi Eze? Say in the commentary part.
“From now on I have 17 Outfield players. I hope we won't lose anymore. If that happens and we get four new ones on the Deadline day like last year, a different false start is possible.”
The Palace company suffers from the fact that they still do not know what European competition they will play next season. The Side of Glasner was relegated from the Europa League to the Conference League after he found that he has violated the rules of UEFA's multi-club ownership, a decision they have made since then.
