Arsenal and Liverpool may face transfer battle after Alexander Isak discovery

Liverpool and Arsenal could add a new striker to their ranks this summer in the midst of interest in Newcastle Alexander Isak, but it seems that both Premier League Giants have another option

Arsenal and Liverpool can fight for the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike. The Premier League duo will probably add both to their attacking options this summer with the Frenchman a candidate for both.

Arsenal has needed a new striker for some time, while the Reds could dive on the market if Mohamed Salah would leave the club at the end of his contract – although he is expected to sign a new deal and stay. The future of Darwin Nunez in Anfield looks far from it, while there is also speculation about Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

An option that both clubs really like is a move for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. However, the tone has hit no less than £ 150 million price tag on his head, which is not surprising a large stumbling block for every interested party.

As such, both Arsenal and Liverpool look elsewhere. And such an option is Ekitike, who has shown in Germany since he moved from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

He would be much more affordable for the club, with a price tag of £ 60 million. According to the Sun, the North -London side belongs to the clubs that have asked for a potential deal. Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle and Bayern Munich also keep up to date with developments with regard to the future of the 22-year-old.

Ekitike started his career on French side Reims for a move to PSG, but after only four goals he was allowed to leave in 33 games. He was initially borrowed to Frankfurt, who then signed him permanently.

Ekitike – who scored 19 times this season – has four years about his contract in Germany. And while there is a race for his services.

Arsenal – legend Martin Keown believes that his former party has already completed a deal for a striker for the summer – and does not believe that man is Isak.

He said, 'I just feel at Isak, now [Newcastle] Won that [trophy]It becomes even more difficult to get him away there. The whole world is on it. It's about finding these players before everyone does that. There is now a new director of Voetbal. You have to go after the players, a good free transfer.

“You can't just spend money on the obvious Declan Rice. But you can be sure that they will undoubtedly buy a striker this summer.”

Keown added: “I would like to imagine that a player has already been bought and it has already been done from the point of view of Arsenaal. They will not make that mistake again.”
