Arsenal at risk of having to delay efforts to sign Real Madrid winger Rodrygo Goes

Arsenal is strongly connected to a summer movement for Rodrygo Goes, but a deal for the Real Madrid man will not be simple in any way. There have been reports on differences in valuations at this stage, but something else can mean that negotiations will be put on hold for a while.

Real Madrid is willing to let Rodrygo leave this summer if that is his wish. Based on the Club World Cup, the 24-year-old does not have much for Xabi Alonso, Die Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Brahim Diaz, Gonzalo Garcia Torres and Endrick Felipe has the attacking options-equestrian as a new Signing Franco Mastantuono.

Arsenal is interested in Rodrygo, but according to David Ornstein (via TeamTalk) it is unlikely that they take a step for the Real Madrid -Man, unless they sell one of their existing lefters – who are probably Gabriel Martinelli.

“Arsenal always wanted to strengthen on the left wing, but they have Gabriel Martinelli there. If he would leave, you would see them bring in a outside winger. If he doesn't have to leave, I don't think.”

“We have reported about people like Rodrygo and Anthony Gordon, I think (they can sign) or Martinelli leaves. I don't necessarily think that is if he would stay.”

If this is the case, it is not ideal for Arsenal. However, Martinelli has been associated with a movement in recent weeks, where Bayern Munich has shown interest in his services – although that would end if they would hijack Barcelona's signing by Nico Williams.

It is still to consider whether Arsenal is making their movement for Rodrygo. Real Madrid is open to negotiations, but they may not arrive until later in the summer transfer window.
