According to Opta, Arsenal are above the LaLiga duo when it comes to predicting the favorites for the UEFA Champions League.
As we approach the penultimate matchday of the new UEFA Champions League format, the fates of all 36 participants are starting to take shape, especially in terms of how the knockout rounds will be played.
Surprisingly, according to Opta, Arsenal emerges as favorites, even ahead of heavyweights such as Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Heading into this matchday, the top five places in the overall standings are occupied by Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa. However, a combination of results could shake almost everyone except Arne Slot's side, who have a three-point lead.
Arsenal is preferred to Madrid and Barça in the Champions League
Opta's reports are in favor of Liverpool, who have shown that Jurgen Klopp's departure has not affected them. Slot has successfully instilled his playing style and brought out the best in Salah, who is in unstoppable form.
