Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta surprises Laura Woods with early Christmas present

Laura Woods was left with an adorable gift from Mikel Arteta as the Arsenal fan prepared to welcome her first child.

The host of TNT Sport announced in July that he was pregnant with partner Adam Collard. The couple was subsequently engaged in September.

Woods wrote in a post on Instagram: “And just like that… You make me happy @adamcollard. Thank you @carbisbayestate – the place where we fell in love and now the place where we got engaged, you made it so special. What a summer x.”

Still going strong, Woods received a heart-warming gift from the club she supports. She shared a video of her meeting Mikel Arteta after Wednesday's Champions League win against Monaco.

The duo had a brief chat before the Spanish boss handed over a red shopping bag with the Arsenal logo. Woods captioned the video, “my club,” before writing, “This was awesome, thank you.”

Woods then revealed exactly what she had received: an Arsenal onesie covered in the Gunners' iconic cannon, a gift she labeled as 'too cute'. Woods and Collard initially went public with their romance in October 2023.

The former Love Island contestant previously revealed he was planning to start a family with Woods, 37. He said: “I'm protective, whether it's Laura, or my family, my friends.

“I want to get married. I also want to have children. I always thought: what kind of person will I be? How can I protect my children?

“Obviously I've never had a child, but I don't think I'm going to plaster it all over [social media]. I want them to get a fair fight and not be judged right away.

“As long as those around me know exactly who I am, it doesn't matter to me. I think you have to take everything with a grain of salt.”

Woods certainly hopes to receive a gift from the Gunners this weekend: three points. Arsenal return to Premier League action against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

A win for North London could be huge given the title battle they find themselves in. Arteta's side are third and six points behind current leaders Liverpool.

They could potentially halve that deficit with a win against Everton, while The Reds in action against Fulham. Current number two Chelsea welcomes Brentford to Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.
