Arsenal has already signed one player from La Liga this summer and a second could now follow in the near future. The Premier League side has chased Crithian Mosquera in recent weeks and a deal with Valencia looks closer to completing.
It is of course considered that Mosquera will leave Valencia this summer, with his contract in the Mestalla that ends in less than 12 months. Arsenal quickly moved to position themselves as favorites to sign him, but so far none of their two offers were close to the asking price of Los Che of € 20 million.
Arsenal wants Mosquera as a center-back competition for William Saliba and Gabriel Maghaly, and they can now be about to get him. As reported by MD, they are willing to come close to the value of € 20 million from Valencia.
It would be no surprise to see Mosquera leave Valencia this summer, where the club made it clear that they do not want to lose it for free – which would almost certainly happen if he did not leave before the beginning of September. And although the money brought in was useful, the situation would not be ideal for head coach Carlos Corberan.
Valencia has already lost Mosquera's fellow center back from last season in Yarek Gasiorowski, who recently came to PSV Eindhoven in a deal with a value of almost € 10 million. Both players who leave would mean that Moctar Diakhaby and Cesar Tarrega Corberan's options are for the 2025-26 campaign, with unlikely that there is a way back for Cenk Ozcacar and Eray Comert, who were both on loan in 2024-25.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal completes a deal for Mosquera, but if an offer of € 20 million is received by Valencia, it would be no surprise to see it accepted.
