Arsenal continues to Ebereechi Eze as their next top objective after the landing of Viktor Gyokeres, but the Gunners have to move quickly before the Crystal Palace Star release clause ends in the middle of next month
Arsenal is confronted with obstacles in their attempt to sign Crystal Palace game maker Ebereechi Eze after they have learned that his £ 68 million release clause expires two weeks before the end of the transfer window.
The Gunners have their primary focus aimed at signing Eze after they have finally sealed a movement for long -term goal Viktor Gyokeres, but it will not be a simple transfer to complete.
Eze is a lot of demand for this summer after another excellent campaign for the Eagles led him the club to their very first FA Cup triumph, with in the lead role in the 2-1 win over Manchester City in Wembley.
Arsenal has been busy in this transfer, because Mikel Arteta finally wants to break their cycle of pain in their bid on the Premier League title.
Gyokeres is their sixth signing of the window, after the arrivals of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Crithian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke – and Eze would add some added quality to their midfield.
According to a report from BBC Sport, Arsenal has “genuine interest” in Eze, but has shown no indications that they intend to activate his release clause of £ 68 million.
The Gunners now have a number of problems to continue if they intend to get the Eze deal. The first of these is that they have to race to secure his signature before the release clause in the middle of August.

That would further postpone a movement for Eze, which is getting closer to the expiration date of the release clause.
Adding to the problems of the club in such a deal is that Eze's favorite position is at no. 10, where Arsenal is already well filled with Captain Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz.
That means that Eze can be forced to go wide to left, a role in which he can play enough, but he would certainly lose the freedom he currently likes in Selhurst Park.
Arsenal is currently on a pre-season tour through Asia, where they are preparing for the Rivals Tottenham in North London in Hong Kong on Thursday.
