Arsenal are looking for a new CEO after it was announced that Edu would be leaving the club. The Gunners have seemingly set their sights on Ligue 1, with Paris Saint-Germain's Luís Campos, Stade Brestois' Grégory Lorenzi and AS Monaco's Thiago Scuro all linked with the soon-to-be vacant position. However, according to L'Équipe, the latter is now out of the picture.
Arsenal's interest in Monaco CEO Scuro was first reported by Gianluca Di Marzio. Since succeeding Paul Mitchell at the Principality club in the summer of 2023, the Brazilian, who has never worked in Britain, has guided Monaco back to the UEFA Champions League.
His performances since joining Les Monégasques caught the attention of Arsenal, who considered the possibility of recruiting Scuro as their new sporting director. And while this was a consideration, L'Équipe understands that Scuro, who is fully focused on the Monaco project, is no longer considered for the role at the Emirates Stadium.
