This summer, Arsenal has added a Serie A -star to their shortlist of transfer Hoopvol, according to a report.
Mikel Artetas were beaten last week in the Premier League title by Liverpool, with the story of the Gunners' season that their faint goal record was compared to their rivals – largely due to an attacking injury crisis and a long -term lack of a 'right' NR. 9.
The North London club scored 63 goals in the competition this season, 17 less than Liverpool, and less than Newcastle (65) and Manchester City (67).
Indeed, they have been associated with an abundance of attacking players this season, including Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko.
And now Arsenal has joined the race to sign StillaWay Atalanta striker breathola lookman, according to Sky Sports Germany.
The Nigeria International, who had Premier League spells with Leicester City, Fulham and Everton, has established itself as one of the most important wing players in European football in the Italian club.
Lookman inspired Atalanta to Europa League Glory last season and scored a hat trick in the final. His heroic deeds saw him crowned African football player of the year in December.
However, he has had public disagreements with his manager Gian Piero Gasterini and seems to leave the club this summer.
Gasperini described Lookman as 'one of the worst penalty branches' he had ever seen after the Champions League exit of Atalanta against Club Brugge in February.
Lookman clapped back and said that his manager had been 'deeply disrespectful' by selecting him.
The contract of the 27-year-old with Atalanta runs until 2027, and it is clear that his release clause is worth € 55 million (£ 45.4 million).
This season, LOOKMAN has recorded 20 goals and seven assists in all matches for Atalanta, which are third in the Serie A.
Elsewhere, Arsenal's interest in Gyokees and Isak is well documented.
Several reports this season have shown that Gyokees is interested in playing in the Premier League.
In the meantime, Arteta is considered an old admirer of Isak, and Arsenal has been associated with a move for him in recent years.
Sources in Newcastle insist that there is no asking price for a player they want to keep in St James' park, but it would almost certainly take compensation that paid more than the British record £ 115 million Chelsea for Moises Caicedo if he left.
The situation of Isak on Tyneside is not easy. He is already the best earner of the club and has a contract until 2028. However, there is no doubt that a player of his caliber could demand a higher wage elsewhere.
For now, Newcastle cannot improve its contract status because of PSR, but a return to the Champions League would probably change that position in the summer. It would also offer the player the platform of the best European competition he wants.
