It will be a busy summer in Arsenal with movements for a striker, midfielder and goalkeeper who is all worked, according to reports.
The side of Mikel Arteta seems to have again failed in their attempt to win the title this season, with their 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest, who now left 13 points behind Liverpool.
After three years of playing second violin to Manchester City and now Liverpool, they are ready to invest heavily in a new attacker or two this summer.
David Ornstein of the athletics reports two big names in the attacking department.
The first is Alexander Isak from Newcastle, who has Arteta “Loves” while the other Benjamin Sesko is, of which Arsenal is said to have done a lot of work to complete a deal.
Ornstein reports how Arsenal is in a strong financial position with PSR.
However, with other plans to bring in midfielder Martin Zubimendi and a new backup goalkeeper, a large departure may be needed to ensure that this PSR position is not affected.
Ornstein also spoke about the influence of Arteta in the transfer process and how his voice influenced the recent January window.
He explained that although Arteta was a hugely influential voice and Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa wanted to sign, he does not check the wallet for the Emirates.
Mathys Tel, who eventually drew on loan for Tottenham, was discussed internally, but was not chased because the club wanted a natural NO9.
Arsenal suffered a huge blow to their title offer, just a few days after the transfer window was closed when Kai Havertz sustained a seasonal injury during the Warm-weather Training Camp of the club in Dubai.
The club did not score in the two last two games, which almost ended their hope to win the title, apart from a wonderful comeback.
