Arsenal face nightmare path to Champions League final as play-off draw leaves fate in the balance

Arsenal is confronted with a potential nightmare trip to Champions League Glory after the play-off draw.

The Gunners automatically qualified from the competition phase after the third place behind Liverpool and Barcelona.

But they were given a heavy draw with Juventus possibly afterwards defeated Lille Lille.

As an alternative, Arsenal could play the winner of Feyenoord or AC Milan, depending on the draw for the round of 16.

If they are progressing, an even more difficult quarter -final collision will wait.

That's because Arsenal was selected on the same side of the draw as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

They could be confronted with one of that trio or one from Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid or Celtic.

Liverpool, Paris St Germain or Barcelona can come in the semi -final, so the gunners face a huge challenge to come to Munich.

City has been given the task with the same nightmare -Run -only they are confronted with a game extra against Real Madrid in the Play -Ooff, with both Juggernuts that do not end in the top eight.

Liverpool, on the other hand, has an easier set of fixtures to the semi -final, with PSG and Borussia Dortmund perhaps the most difficult teams with which they can be confronted.

Aston Villa was drawn on the same side of the draw as Liverpool and could be confronted with Club Brugge, Atalanta, Sporting or Dortmund in the round of 16.

The horror stretch of the city means that they will be confronted in a few weeks next month against Arsenal, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
