Arsenal fan seen defacing Josh Kroenke mural after being left fed up with Arteta’s transfer struggles

An ARSENAL fan was seen damaging Josh Kroenke's mural outside the Emirates.

Kroenke is director and co-chairman at Arsenal alongside his father Stan.

But it is Kroenke Jr who plays a more active role in the day-to-day management of the football club.

So much so that a painting was added to a wall of artwork when his popularity among Arsenal fans soared.

That was especially the case when he raised big money to sanction the transfers of Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz in the summer of 2023.

David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino were signed at the beginning of this season.

But with Arsenal not having won a trophy since the 2020 FA Cup, patience is running thin.

A real striker is at the top of every fan's wish list, plus a winger and further defensive reinforcements.

But with no one brought to the Emirates so far in the January transfer window and no deal seemingly close, the cries are growing louder.

And now an Arsenal fan has taken a stand by editing the Kroenke mural, which depicts him in a suit and red tie next to Santi Cazorla.

SunSport's exclusive video footage before the Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb shows the hooded person hitting the wall by spraying a speech bubble out of Cazorla's mouth and then writing in it.

The text read: “Time to splash some cash, Josh.”

And that caused a wave of reactions from supporters on social media.

One wrote: “No signings = Kroenke out.”

Another said: “This is embarrassing.”

A third added: “Bring in both Sesko and Gyokores.”

A fourth typed: “What a stupid mural, who makes a mural for an owner?”

A fifth replied: “Josh Kroenke getting a mural outside the Emirates? Nice gesture, but maybe paint a checkbook next time because Arsenal need players, not portraits!”

And one end user replied: “Fanbase is a joke.”
