The reaction of certain parts of Arsenal's fan base to the signing of Chelsea wing player Noni Madueke has been 'really terrible', the maker of football content Joel Beya has told the podcast of the mail's whistleblowers.
Beya, a fan of Arsenal who said the atmosphere together with Five Podcast with Rio Ferdinand, that the criticism of the 23-year-old English international went too far, especially in a country that probably gives “the mental health of players.”
Madueke is ready to complete a medical with the Gunners prior to a £ 52 million move through London.
Fans who were against the move started an online petition and used the hashtag #notomadueke on X to express their dissatisfaction with the transfer.
“Would Madueke be my first choice? Probably not, “Beya told fellow Gastheer Mark Clattenburg.
'I understand why fans are not so happy, we pay £ 50 million for him. But I don't stand with those people who do petitions – and really terrible.
“We are a country that says we are giving up mental health, someone like that can really destroy someone.
“It is not the fault of the player he bought for so much, and as soon as he turns it on, we must support him.”
Madueke scored seven and helped three in 32 Premier League performances last season.
Some Arsenal fans have questioned wisdom to spend a healthy part of their transfer budget to a player with a similar output as their current left -wing player Gabriel Martinelli, who managed eight goals and four assists.
The wing player joins a long line of players who switch blue for Red in recent years, where Arsenal Willian, Jorginho, Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling signed in the past five seasons from Chelsea.
Beya warned that Arsenal, if the 'dominant team in the competition', should prevent a potential title rival such as Chelsea from being strengthened by paying a bloated transfer costs.
He said: 'You don't want to finance your rivals. The Chelsea team is serious – as much as we hang out.
'That team has a great potential, especially with Cole Palmer – which I will openly admit is my favorite player in the competition.
“They are a fanatic sales club and Arsenal has to treat them more like rivals.”
Whisltblowers co-gastheer and Omroep Gordon Smart asked Beya what realistic signing sessions would feel confident to him as an Arsenal fan that will start next season.
“It must be Rodrygo,” Beya replied.
“We already have Viktor Gyokeres – I think Rodrygo Arteta will save his job.”
Now that Liverpool steps made steps to sign the Swedish striker Alexander Isak, Beya was also asked why Arsenal is not pursuing the productive attacker.
He argued that the more organized approach from Liverpool to transfers enables the Merseyside Club to perform larger deals.
He said: 'When you see how Liverpool does business compared to Arsenal, are you surprised that Isak would rather go to them?
'If I am a player who looks at that project from the outside, Liverpool looks very organized. They have their goals. They just miss the last part of a puzzle, why not go there?
“It feels like we have rebuilt too long.”
