While Trossard's contract ends the following summer, its current deal has an extension clause from one year to 2027.
Arsenal rejected an offer from Al Itihad from the Saudi Pro League for Trossard in September, and clubs in the competition are supposed to chase him again this summer.
The development occurs on a summer in which Arsenal is looking for a striker and left wing player.
For Trossard it is a major coup – he would be 34 by the time the new deal would expire.
It is understood that his high levels of fitness in terms of lifespan was a contributing factor to a long -term proposed deal of Arsenal, which is not the norm for players older than 30.
