Arsenal get two stars back from injury ahead of Real Madrid clash but key defender ruled out

Arsenal -Manager Mikel Arteta had a lot of good news to spend on Monday afternoon, while addressing the press before their collision with Fulham. This included various injury developments that did not go unnoticed by the Real Madrid coaching staff in Valdebebas.

Los Blancos is preparing on their Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad on Tuesday evening, and did this without Thibaut Courtois, who remains injured. He is expected to return to Arsenal, but Carlo Ancelotti sweat more about the fitness of Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos who focus on the first stage on the Emirates on eighth April for their return of an injury.

In the meantime, Arteta will probably be Riccardo Calafiori without defender, who returned from the Italy obligation with a muscle injury. The assessment of the Basque manager suggests that he will be absent for both legs against Real Madrid.

“It could have been much worse. Hopefully it will be a matter of weeks, but we have to see how the injury evolves,” he told BBC Sport.

He also had a positive update about Jurrien Timber, on the other side of the defense.

“Jurrien [Timber] Has been sick for a long time, but he has felt much better in recent days, so he is available [for Fulham]. “

Sterrene wing Saka will have two games to get an eye on after three months before Los Blancos visits London.

“Bukayo Saka is ready to go. All careful things have already been done. Now it is about placing him in the grass at the right time. But he pushes because he really wants that. We have respected the timeline and we have done everything. He is ready to go.”

With Calafiori out, it can make way for the much more attacking Myles Lewis-Skelly on the left side of the defense of Arsenal. The Gunners are confronted with Fulham in the Emirates on Tuesday evening and start 15 minutes after Real Madrid and then travel to Everton on Saturday lunch. Real Madrid also organizes Valencia in the Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon.
