Arsenal have informed Real Madrid of Martin Zubimendi plans

The real Sociedad -midfielder Martin Zubimendi has currently been chased by a considerable part of the top clubs in Europe, but with the Basque midfielder who finally looks like he is leaving Aneta this summer, there are two in the front in the race for his signature.

Director of football Roberto Olabe and manager Imanol Alguacil will both be on the move this summer, after they have announced that they will get away from their roles, and it feels like it will be a change in the guard in Donostia-San Sebastian. Zubimendi could be the next large cornerstone that is being excavated, and both Arsenal and Real Madrid are interested in paying his release clause of € 60 million, although in the case of the latter the last green light still has to be given.

Depending on outputs, it seems as if Real Madrid will take a step for a central midfielder this summer, and if they do, Zubimendi seems to be the priority. According to Marca, they have opened conversations with his camp, but Arsenal will not give him up without a fight. They say that during the dinner of their director before the collision of the Champions League between the two, Arsenal stated that their intention was to sign Zubimendi, and even to let them know that they found the deal near.

This is De Lijn from London since January and after having held advanced conversations with Zubimendi and his camp, the Gunners seem to feel that they will get their husbands. It is said that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had personal contact with Zubimendi about a deal.

The unknown is what Zubimendi will do about Real Madrid's proposal. It would be no surprise if Arsenal was willing to offer more money than Los Blancos, but local media in the Spanish capital claimed that he would also prioritize a switch to the Santiago Bernabéu. The prospect of being managed by his idol, Xabi Alonso, in Real Madrid also seems more and more likely, something that would also be a factor in his decision.
