Arsenal opt against former La Liga stars to solve striker crisis

Mikel Arteta will fight due to a striker injury crisis until the end of the 2024/25 season.

The Gunners -Baas could not bring in a new attacker in the January transfer window after he had been hit by a season that an injury for Gabriel Jesus had struck.

While Arteta, however, prepared for what he had, Germany has now arrived on the sidelines for the rest of the campaign at Jesus.

Despite the low numbers of Havertz for the goal, Arteta kept trust with the former Chelsea star, as his most important attacking centerpiece.

With Bukayo Saka until April after the operation, and Gabriel Martinelli set aside until mid -March, Arteta is on the bare bones in attack.

With the transfer window now closed, the only option of Arteta was to bring in a free transfer, as an emergency option to cover in the coming months.

The current Global Free Transfer List contains a handful ex-LA Liga Strikers that Arteta reportedly would consider filling a gap in his team.

Former Atletico Madrid Vooruit Diego Costa was tipped for a La Liga movement in early 2025, after his exit from Gremio, but he will not be considered by Arteta because of his age and salary.

Also on the list of options are Maxi Gomez, Wissam Ben Yedder and Mariano Diaz, all currently without a club.

However, according to reports from the Daily Telegraph, Arteta will not make a shock movement, while focusing on the summer, and a rumor for Martin Zubimendi.

The Gunners are already ready to the UEFA Champions League last 16 with the draw before February 21.

Arsenal has four potential opponents on the horizon as it says, including Juventus, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven or AC Milan.

Arteta led Arsenal to the quarterfinals last season in his debut campaign in the European top club competition.
