Arsenal PLAYER RATINGS: Which Gunners new boy has to improve one key quality?

Arsenal enjoyed a wonderful evening in the Emirates in their first home base of the new Premier League campaign while they were 5-0 5-0 on Saturday evening.

The hosts wasted little time to get ahead if they did so often last season, via an intelligent set piece, with Jurrien Timber the name on the score sheet after just over half an hour.

Timber added a second almost 30 minutes later, with open game goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Bukayo Saka who put the hosts 4-0 in the injury time.

The Gunners took their last effort through a cynical penalty screaming thanks to teen talent Max Dowman, where Gyokeres scored his second since his blockbuster earlier this summer from the place.

But who seemed and who struggled during the Primetime match?

Here Iaan Khan from Daily Mail Sport runs the rule about both the stars of Arsenal and the Leeds, while this season the visitors received a wake-up call about the reintroduction of the Premier League.

Arsenal (4-3-3)

David Raya: 6.5

Made a good save from the corner of Pascal Struijk. Otherwise it was not necessary.

Jurrien Timber: 8.5

The Arsenal opener scored with an energetic jump around the corner of Declan Rice, before scored another of a rice set in the second half. Then his only played by Bukayo Saka to score. Man of the competition display.

William Saliba: 7

Remained in position and remained alert for the counterattacks of Leeds.

Gabriel: 7

The Brazilian combined well with Saliba as usual. A game of consciousness with Arsenal enjoys a lot of possession.

Riccardo Calafiori: 7

Nice air pass to Viktor Gyokeres on the left flank helped to get rid of the goal. Looked threatening on the ball.

Martin Odegaard: 6.5

An early shot just dragged near Post. Replace at 39 minutes due to an injury.

Martin Zubimendi: 7

Picked pockets across the field. The opposition that put them under further pressure.

Declan Rice: 8

His two corners for Timber's goals were perfect. Continued to try to play from midfield.

Bukayo Saka: 7

Struggled to get in the way early before he unleashed himself as the game progressed. Beautiful right -wing finish with power in the first half. But there will be concern after the wing player hoped for 53 minutes with a clear injury.

Viktor Gyokees: 7.5

His wrong kick for the goal at 16 minutes left Mikel Arteta with his head. But made that good with a second half goal, picking up the ball of the left flank to cut and score. Scored fine in injury time.

Noni Madueke: 6.5

His end product could have been better, but to the honor of the winger he was very directly in his game.

Replacements –

Ethan Nwaneri: 6.5

Nice effort at 55 minutes, rotating outside the ball to just curl a pole.

Max Dowman: 7.5

Looked very sharp on the ball. Put Leeds back line under a lot of pressure. Had a few strikes high or wide.

Leandro Trossard: 6.5

Myles Lewis-Skelly: 6.5

Crithian Mosquera: 6.5

Manager –

Mikel Arteta: 7.5

Leeds United (4-3-3)

Lucas Perri: 5

Poor on the first two goals of Arsenal, in particular the strike of Saka, where he led Lamely.

Jayden Bogle: 6

Use a shift even when the game was completely out of the grip of Leeds. Gyokeres hassle for a large part of the game.

Joe Rodon: 5.5

Caught a few times out of position. Was always a difficult proposition to tackle this arsenal front line.

Pascal Struijk: 5.5

Had a good header stored by Raya, which was the best chance for Leeds.

Gabriel Gudmundson: 6

Was largely good at retrieving Saka – but one time he turned off, Saka let him pay.

AO Tanaka: 5.5

Better than Gruev, but nevertheless noticed that he chased the game.

Ilia Gruev: 5

Was persuaded in the middle and very easily bypassed through the midfield of the opposition.

Anton Stach: 5.5

Struggled with the pace in general. Helped the game occasionally.

Daniel James: 6

The most important exhaust valve of Leeds to leave the break. Run with conviction but a general slog.

Joel Piroe: 5

Not existing. Hardly touched the ball and was replaced in the second half.

Wilfried Gnonto: 5.5

Keep track of well and won the ball a few times. Would have been demonstrably suited as a false nine.

Replacements:

Sean Longstaff: 6

Lukas Nmecha: 6

Brenden Aaronson: 6

Noah Okafor: 5.5

Manager-

Daniel Farke: 5.5

Referee-

Jarred Gillett: 6
