Sporting CP expects Arsenal target white Viktor Gyokeres to report next week for training for the season
Arsenal believes that next week the key could be to their apparently never -ending pointed yacht. Portuguese champions Sporting CP expect that Wilse Wegse Wepie Viktor Gyokeres reports for training for the season, but the Swede threatens to go strike to facilitate his dream switch to North London.
Gyokeres and his agent Hasan Cetinkaya are currently at war with sporty President Frederico Varandas, who is accused of having lifted a men's agreement that would enable the 27-year-old frontman to leave £ 60 million.
However, Varandas has made it clear that Sport will not sell their Sterman for what they consider to be a fair market value.
This summer Arsenal constantly flirted with movements for both Gyokees and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, but if the former Coventry City Hitman does not pop up for training in Lisbon, there is optimism sporting and ultimately their attitude.
Gyokees is planning to hold face-to-face conversations with Varandas to resolve the situation upon return to Portugal.
The crux of the international stars of Sporting are back on Monday, but Gyokees has now received permission to return on Friday, the day before the Portuguese champions go to the Algarve for a training camp.
Gunners Sporting Director Andrea Berta has actively urged the Sweden International since he arrived at the club, while Mikel Arteta Sesko is already visiting the best part of 18 months.
However, if the sport lower their asking price, it would considerably strengthen the hand of Arsenal to land both players.
Even if the Gunners did not want to press the button on Gyokees, there is a feeling that they can use the reduced requirements of Sporting as leverage in negotiations with Leipzig for Sesko, so they were so determined to play the long game.
Gyokeres has performed his fitness this week alongside personal trainer Giannis Katsigiannis while he is on vacation in Mykonos.
In the meantime, Sesko has also relaxed on the Greek island and remarkably enough, the two Arsenal -Spirs goals have even shared the same mobile hairdresser in the last 10 days.
Arsenal -sources deny that they have made an offer for both players so far, although Berta has held the first dialogue with representatives from both clubs.
Last month the Italian chef is supposed to have met Sport Director Bernardo Palmeiro in Menorca, where informal discussions took place and there were also direct conversations with Marcel Schafer van Leipzig about Sesko.
Arsenal seems to have a clear run with both attackers, because Gyokeres has already intimated to Manchester United that he would transfer to the Emirates, despite his respect for former boss Ruben Amorim.
Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, who was the subject of a rejected approach in January, and Hugo Ekitike van Eintracht Frankfurt are both admired.
Although a center-forward is considered a top priority, the Gunners also strive to strengthen their broad and attacking midfield options with Ebereechi Eze, Noni Madueke, all between the key names of the growing interest.
There are now personal terms with Madueke who is approaching various discussions with discussions with the camp of the Chelsea wing player and Arsenal, is now expected to approach the blues to formally discuss a possible transfer.
