Arsenal works hard behind the scenes in their attempt to sign an elite striker and have done work on possible deals for top goals Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal organizes their own 'beauty competition' because they actively follow deals for both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
Although they do not intend to sign two strikers, Arsenal Sporting Director Andrea Berta keeps his options open and held advanced discussions about both players. They also do not exclude movement on other goals, because Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa is still on the radar after a switch has fallen in January.
They are also more connected to Alexander Isak and Julian Alvarez, but Gyokees and Sesko are the two most likely goals.
Mirror Football revealed on 6 June that Gyokeres prefers a switch to Arsenal prior to another club despite interest from Manchester United and teams in Spain and Italy.
Gyokeres, 27, is locked up in a dispute with Sporting Lisbon with the Portuguese club angrily denied that there was a “men's agreement” to have the Sweden striker leave for £ 60 million.
Sporting President Frederico Varandas accused the agent of gyokeres of “Games playing” about the prize and there is now a bitter distance of development. That can be a key factor in the stand – off because Arsenal has to weigh different options when pursuing a new NO9 and price is an important factor.
Sesko, 22, could possibly leave RB Leipzig for £ 60m-plus and the Slovenian was almost at Arsenal at Arsenal last summer before he decided to stay in Germany for another year.
There has been interest in Sesko from other clubs – Bayern Munich can be connected the newest – but Arsenal did a lot of groundwork last year and Gunners -Baas Arteta is a great admirer of his potential.
It should not be overlooked that Mikel Arteta Kai Havertz is still incredibly high as an attacker, as a player and also for his versatility.
Gyokeres is older, can now be more ready to run the ground and has been productive for sport, but it is the Portuguese competition and the ex-Brighton and Coventry striker can be a gamble. He is more of a classic center Vooruit. Sesko is fast, long and has enormous potential, while his attributes also mean that he could work with Havertz. He has great growth as a player and in some respects even looks like Isak. Watkins would like a switch to Arsenal.
It is an unusual approach to keep different players in the mix, but Berta has a strong reputation and is under great pressure to deliver the right striker. A great factor for Arsenal is able to land an attacker of the top name, but also to spend more money on other goals with Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad to arrive at £ 51 million.
But a player who is probably not going, is Riccardo Calafiori after AC Milan had done an investigation – but they were rejected by Arsenal and the Defender of Italy also wants to stay in London.
