Arsenal could have a busy summer transfer window this year under Mikel Arteta, but they could make competition for their goals, including Real Madrid star Arda Guler
Aston Villa Chief Monchi has confirmed the interest on his side in Real Madrid star Arda Guler in one fell swoop for Arsenal. The Premier League side wants to secure a Champions League place for the second consecutive campaign.
And if they do that, they could look at the Spanish giants for their latest addition. It has been claimed that Villa is interested in Real Madrid and Turkey playmaker Arda Guler, who was struggling for playing time this season.
When asked about the interest of the club, Villa sports director Monchi made a number of meaningful comments. In conversation with Radio Marca, he said: “I know him well because he is a player who has followed every sports director since Turkey in his career.
“He is a player who met a number of requirements and could be attractive for Aston Villa because we were looking for that position. It is not the same position as Marcos Asensio, but we are more or less looking for that profile between the lines that can play as a number 10 and who can even play on the outside while they enter.
“I personally think he is a player with very good technical skills, and I also think he has personality – he shows when he plays for the national team. He takes roles that are not associated with his age.”
Villa is not the only side interested in Guler, with Arsenal reportedly also among those who can make a movement. A Premier League switch could possibly give him the chance to have seen more playing time that have seen his minutes limited since he came to Real Madrid of Fenerbahce in 2023.
But Guler does not seem to be enthusiastic about a switch that has expressed his wish to stay with his current employers for the time being. He recently said: “Personally, my only wish is to play in every game and to help my team win every title. Real Madrid gave me a plan and I still believe in it.

“I am sure I will succeed at Real Madrid, I even bought a house in Madrid. I came to Real Madrid to play and be an important part of this team. And I will not stop fighting until I achieve that.”
And although a transfer is possible from the agenda for the time being, Guler has already been packed in a spit with a Premier League star. He seemed Liverpool -star Dominik Szoboszlai in Shushen while he had international service.
The Hungarian answered with a remark about social media by reading “1088”, in reference to the amount of minutes that Guler played for Real Madrid this season. In answer, Guler wrote: “This guy is a joke. Is six goals not enough to keep your mouth shut?”
