Arsenal rebuild becomes clearer after Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko updates

Arsenal is looking for a new striker this summer with both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, both are considered to reopen the transfer window

Arsenal may have a free run at Landing Viktor Gyokeres after the striker told Manchester United that he will not add to them this summer – but Bayern Munich is now in the race for Benjamin Sesko's signature.

The Gunners are looking for a new No. 9 and Gyokees and Sesko are their top goals. Both are expected to leave their respective clubs in the summer transfer window after fine seasons and would probably be comparable in terms of price.

And after weeks of waiting to learn which striker Arsenal would go, we seem to get closer to our answer.

The admiration of United for Gyokeres is well documented and the Red Devils even mentioned his sporty Lisbon Baas, Ruben Amorim, as their manager earlier in the season.

But the Portuguese Outlet record has now claimed that the representatives of Gyokeres United have informed that the 27-year-old will not move to Old Trafford.

With United apparently from the framework for Gyokees, Arsenal could continue undisputed. The report added that the North -London outfit even 'prepared a second offer' for the Sweden star.

The same cannot be said for Sesko, who was strongly connected to the Gunners last summer before signing a new contract with RB Leipzig.

Bayern Munich is said to see Sesko, 22, as the ideal successor in the long term of Harry Kane and can match Arsenal for the signature of the striker in the coming weeks.

Bild has revealed that Bayern also tried to sign Sesko last summer and, like Arsenal, did not fully give up their pursuit of Slovenia -International, even if they have not held conversations about a movement such as the Londoners.

With Gyokeres who wants to switch to the Emirates – and competition that pops up for Sesko – a deal for the former Coventry City man could now look even more attractive for Arsenal.

Although the summer transfer window will not be officially opened until Monday, the Gunners have already been busy at work behind the scenes with a movement for Martin Zubimendi, the real Sociedad Pelenmaker, in an advanced stage awaiting the completion of a medical one. The Spain International was also close to a Premier League movement last summer, only for U-turn on a move to Liverpool in the eleventh hour.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is also on the radar of Arsenal in their search for a number 2 goalkeeper and is available for only £ 5 million after last season on loan with Bournemouth.
