Newcastle -striker Alexander Isak has been mentioned one of a number of big names in connection with an Arsenal switch after the comments of Mikel Arteta about the club's plans
Arsenal has been warned that a step for Alexander Isak may not be as easy as it seems. The Swedish sniper is one of a number of strikers that are linked to a move to the Emirates Stadium, together with international teammate Viktor Gyokores and Slovenia star Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners still have to decide which man they have to make their primary target, but reach an important point when it comes to Gyokees. The Sporting Star has 53 goals in all competitions, as a result of which the Lisbon club retains their Primeira Liga title and Arsenal and Manchester United has under its potential vroerners.
If Arsenal decides that Isak is their husbands, they must convince Isak to leave Newcastle given the feelings of the fans about him. Former England star Teddy Sheringham would indeed not be surprised to see that the former real Sociedad -Man – who would probably cost considerably more than Gyokees.
“I think, you know, he is absolutely praised as a center ahead in Newcastle, so why would he want to go,” Sheringham told Prime Casino. “He may not want to change. It will not be much better than fans who love you, and your team plays to the best aspects of your game, and you are the center. You earn good money and you are in the team.
“You play at the highest level and players understand that you and your manager love you. So you know, you would be very surprised if he wanted to go somewhere else at the moment.”
The fate of Newcastle's Champions League can be a factor. The victory over Everton in their last match would ensure a top five finish and Give Isak a chance on a match in which he only scored once.
“They are a club in the right direction, won their first trophy in 70 years this season,” Sheringham continued. “I think all their top players want to stay, and I think it would cost ridiculous money to get one from Isak, [Anthony] Gordon or [Bruno] Guimares from the club now. They don't have to sell them with the Campions League football root. “
