Arsenal is open to strengthening their defense in the summer transfer window, but income on the back are ready to depend on respective departure
Arsenal retains an interest in Ajax defender Jorrel Hato prior to the summer transfer window, although every potential Swoop probably depends on the future of Jakub Kiwior. The 25-year-old pile recently played in the heart of the backline of Mikel Arteta in the absence of wounded central ridge Gabalhaes, whose season was demolished by a hamstring injury that required surgery 10 days ago. Since the end of 2023, promising Holland International Hato has been on the Gunners' Radar, but there is still a movement to materialize and he has since gone into force in Amsterdam, where he is considered an integral player in the Swashbuckling side of Francesco Faroli.
The 19-year-old has played left back the entire season, but he is also as comfortable as a central defender and his age, potential and versatility is a huge attraction for Arteta. Hato recently spoke to Record about his admiration for Jurrien Timber and the way in which his fellow countryman is the master of several defensive roles at the Emirates Stadium.
In the meantime, Kieran Tierney will return to Celtic at the end of the campaign, while the Futures of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kiwior are questioned because of their lack of minutes this period, although it is still not convincing that the latter will certainly leave the club in the coming months.
Kiwior remains enormously appreciated by Arteta and it is unlikely that he is not interested if he had previously been praised by various Italian clubs and Marseille. The prospect of Arsenal that strengthens their defensive options is subject to departure such as the acquisitions of a striker, central midfielder (probably two), winger and back -up goalkeeper are currently of greater priority. Liverpool also follows the Dutchman Hato together with their pursuit of Milos Kerkez van Bournemouth, who is considered a top goal in Anfield. As reported for the first time by athletics, Reds and Arsenal are both interested in cherry star Dean Huijsen, in the midst of continuous background discussions with his representatives.
However, it is difficult to present the gunners who cause the clause of the Spaniard £ 50 million release, since he would be in the pecking order of Emirates behind Gabriel and William Saliba. The competition for Huijsen's signature is also fierce – his father, Donny, was as recently in London as Friday to meet various interested parties.
The Ajax contract from Hato runs until June 2028 and contains no buy-out clause, which means that Ajax is looking for a hard bargain.
After they have received eye-water differences for people such as Antony, Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Mohammed Kudus and Jurrien Timber in recent years, there is little chance that the Eredivisie leaders roll into transfer negotiations.
Hato is very a target of Arteta, but the influence of newly appointed sports director Andrea Berta on Arsenal's Summer Transfer transactions cannot be underestimated. For example, Joan Garcia – Long seen in the club as the ideal no. 2 goalkeeper of David Raya – is a deal that Berta wants to reconsider.
The Gunners did a lot of groundwork on the 23-year-old, a player who was initially recommended by goalkeeper coach Inaki Cana, after they had rejected two bids by Espanyol in August after the move from Aaron Ramsdale to Southampton.
Sources near the Spanish shot stopper, however, have indicated that there has been no contact from Berta since he started working in North Londs -which fed the idea that they could explore alternative options instead.
A maximum of 10 clubs have approached the representatives of Garcia, including Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen and he can leave Espanyol this summer for under his release clause. But he will probably still cost a decent reimbursement and since he will be in second place for David Raya, Berta may believe that cash would be better spent elsewhere. Garcia remains open to participation in Arsenal and would like to compete with Raya for the number 1 place at the Emirates if the opportunity occurs.
