Athletic Bilbao -Vleugel player and Arsenal -Surely White Nico Williams have informed lovers of his desire to join Barcelona after positive conversations.
Williams, 22, is subject to interest from Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
He impressed last summer's euros, together with Barcelona star Yamine Lamal while Spain took the crown home.
That campaign marked Williams as one of the most promising wing players in the world when he opened the score in the 2-1 last victory of Spain over England.
Despite the interest of the Emirates, Williams probably seems to stay in Spain and to have told those involved in conversations about his preference for the Camp Nou.
He also had conversations with the German champions Bayern Munich.
The news is an important blow to Arsenal that has promised a big summer in this transfer window.
“It will be a big one and we are very enthusiastic about it,” said manager Mikel Arteta earlier.
“The way we had planned the first five summers, they would become very big and they would have different objectives.”
