Arsenal has received a potential blow in their pursuit of Leroy Sane after his agent had given a cheerful update about contract discussions with Bayern Munich.
The wing player's contract is proceeding this summer and his agent Pini Zahavi has reportedly spoke with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham about a Premier League referee, according to Bild.
Sane came to Bayern from Manchester City in 2020 for £ 55 million, but has been associated with a move for some time and has reportedly spent time in London with his wife Candice.
He was again an important gear in the Bayern machine this season when he scored 13 goals, scored six assists and helped them to reclaim the Bundesliga title.
And his agent Zahavi told Sky Germany about an apparently positive contract update interviews and said: 'We had a very good dinner, it was a nice dinner, I enjoyed it. But no news.
“I can't talk about it, but it was a nice meeting.”
Bayern would insist that they do not want to increase their current offer to Sane, which consists of a fixed salary of € 10 million (£ 8.3 million), plus a variable bonus of € 5.5 million (£ 4.6 million).
However, it is said that key figures within the club, including sports director Max Eberl, want to pay that amount to keep him in their books.
As a result, it is assumed that Bayern is considering increasing his fixed salary to € 13 million (£ 10.9 million) and to reduce the bonuses accordingly.
While the Premier League parties are said to land Sane, Turkish Super Lig Side Galatasaray also made an offer of € 10 million a year to Sane.
The German winger will soon have to make a decision about a potential new destination, in which Bayern wants his future to be resolved prior to Bayern's departure the club for the Club World Cup on 10 June.
Sane was an integral part of the 'Centurions' team of Manchester City in 2017-18 before he helped the club to win a domestic Treble – including a second consecutive Premier League title – the next campaign.
However, he underwent a loaded end of his time in Manchester after a torn ACL before he came to Bayern in the summer of 2020.
The 29-year-old helped Bayern to support their dominance in Germany and to raise four Bundesliga titles in five seasons.
